The opening ceremony of the Olympics in Beijing will be held in the Beijing National Stadium on 8 August 2008. The Beijing National Stadium has nicknamed the "Bird nest" because of its nest-like skeletal structure. Athletes from around the world will come to the games. They will compete in 302 events in 28 sports. Games of the XXIX Olympiad during 16 days and 17 nights from the 8th August to 24th August 2008.
