TPI changes its name to MNC TV

Televisi Pendidikan Indonesia (TPI) as the third private TV station in Indonesia, has been officially renamed Media Nusantara Citra (MNC) TV. Media Nusantara Citra Changes TPI Name to MNC TV. TPI began broadcasting on 23 January 1991. On July 6, 2006, Media Nusantara Citra, who also owns RCTI and Global TV, acquired 75% of the channel. TPI has been renamed MNC TV on Wednesday night October 20, 2010. TPI also change the web address from www.tpi.tv to www.mnctv.com.

TPI’s shows have good ratings. TPI is a family television with a wide variation of shows such as music, drama, cartoon and sport. TPI, Global TV, Indovision and Linktone have secured broadcast rights of English Premier League. Now TPI renamed MNC TV. The rebranding was part of a larger campaign to attract advertisers that included developing higher-quality shows.
